Read With a Librarian

Is your child a beginner reader? Or are you looking for a new and fun way for your children to practice their reading aloud? Join us for Read to a Librarian, where children in grades 1-7 are paired with library staff for a one-on-one reading session each week. Each child will have 15 minutes within the hour to read. Library staff will be available to listen, help and chat about the book. Please only register for 1 session per week

For this virtual program, we'll be using Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before, click here for a video tutorial. You will need: A computer, smartphone, or tablet with a microphone and a webcam. A working email address is required for registration. A link will be sent to you within 24 hours of the program start. Please check your junk or spam mail if this is the first time you have registered for a virtual library program. If you would like help registering call us at 604-231-6413.

We encourage parents to monitor or supervise their child’s involvement in the program.
