Teen Online Writing Community Workshop

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Description

The Richmond Public Library, in collaboration with Success for All (SFA), will facilitate a weekly Online Writing Community to help improve writing skills. We invite tweens and teens (grades 5 - 10) to gather for 1 hour each week to write alone - together.

Each week, our facilitator Dr. Jenny Chan will lead brief opening and closing discussions. Dr. Chan will employ the Pomodoro techniques to intersperse dedicated stretches of writing, including brief breaks and self-reflection.

The Online Writing Community will take place via Zoom on:
July 17, 24, 31 (Saturday), 1:00- 2:00pm

Ages 10-15. Registration required. Teens must attend all 3 sessions.

The zoom information will be emailed to you the week before the program.

You will need: A working email, a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a microphone and a webcam.

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and
videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library. If you would
prefer not to have your picture taken, please speak to a library staff
