Welcome Michael Ondaatje! RPL is proud to welcome the internationally-renowned Canadian author, who will join us LIVE on Thursday, August 19 at 4:30pm for a free, virtual interview! Mr. Ondaatje will talk about this summer’s One Book, Four Cities community read, In the Skin of a Lion. After a one-hour interview, Mr. Ondaatje will take questions submitted by the audience. 

Don't miss this literary event of the summer! Michael Ondaatje is the recipient of multiple literary awards, including the Giller prize and the Golden Man Booker prize, and is a Companion of the Order of Canada.

Presented in partnership with the City of Richmond's Sister City Advisory Committee.

Things to Know Before Registering:

  • This program is suitable for adults and teens.
  • The library is using Zoom Webinar to share this live event. Please be aware that this application requires an email address for all participants.
  • The event starts promptly at 4:30pm. Please connect 5 to 10 minutes before event.
  • This live event is being recorded and will be available for viewing for a limited time period.

You will need: A working email, a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a microphone and a webcam.
