Literacy for Life is an 8-week program that helps adults improve their reading, writing, numeracy and computer skills. Registration is required and registrants must be able to attend all 8 sessions on Thursdays from Jan. 19th to Mar. 9th, 2023. 

The program is presented by F.I.R.S.T. and sponsored by the Community Adult Literacy Program, BC Ministry of Applied Skills and Technology.

Sessions:

Week 1  - Introduction/Oral

Week 2 -  Reading Part 1

Week 3 -  Reading Part 2

Week 4 -  Writing Part 1

Week 5 -  Writing Part 2

Week 6 -  Computer

Week 7 -  Numerical

Week 8 -  Participation

****In order to receive funding and be able to provide this program there is a short form that must be filled out. Once registered you will receive the form by email.

Mask wearing continues to be appreciated and encouraged in our libraries, especially in situations where maintaining personal space can be challenging.

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library. If you would prefer not to have your picture taken, please speak to a library staff member. Participants of online programs and events are asked to not take screenshots and/or record programs.
