Learning Together turns 10! Our 9-week family literacy program helps parents and children, aged 3 to 5, build a love of reading together and improve literacy skills using the alphabet, numbers, stories and active play. Digital and physical literacy components are also included.
The program is designed for parents and children to participate together and the focus will be on communication skills as well as activities that families can do at home, reinforcing the joy that comes from reading together. All materials and resources will be provided. Sponsored by the Ministry of Applied Skills and Technology. Participants must attend all sessions. Registration required at one venue only please.
Mask wearing continues to be appreciated and encouraged in our libraries, especially in situations where maintaining personal space can be challenging.
Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library. If you would prefer not to have your picture taken, please speak to a library staff member. Participants of online programs and events are asked to not take screenshots and/or record programs.
