Join the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC for this 2-hour session where you will learn about hatchery roles, fish identification, proper fish handling, tackle, rod rigging and casting, followed by hands on fishing at the River!
Rods and tackle will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment.
Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) are not required and will not be provided. If you would like to have one for the program, please bring your own.
We will be meeting on-site at No. 2 Road Fishing Pier in London Wharf Park (AKA: London's Landing).
Please dress for the weather, as this program will occur rain or shine!
Important! Please ensure you arrive on time as the introductory information on fishing techniques and ethics are important to your participation in the hands-on fishing portion.
Getting to No. 2 Road Fishing Pier:
There is a small gravel parking lot next to the pier, and there is street parking at various locations along Dyke Road.
Most of the walking paths to the pier are gravel.
The 402 bus route will take you to the nearest bus stop at Moncton and No. 2 Rd., a 15-minute walk from the pier.
