Description

Richmond Public Library in partnership with Parks Canada is proud to present Animal Aware, just in time for summer!

An amazing part of spending time in nature is seeing wildlife in their natural habitat. Parks Canada’s Learn-to Camp team will provide tips on how to safely view animals while keeping a respectful distance.

Join us for this family-friendly program to learn about wildlife and the ways to protect Canadian parks and the critters who live there. We will explore how to keep the wild in wilderness during our outdoor adventures.

Learn about:

  • Wildlife safety
  • Wildlife in the parks
  • How to see wildlife
  • Keep wildlife wild
  • Invasive species
  • Doing our part so that the homes of plants and animals can thrive for years to come!

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library. If you would prefer not to have your picture taken, please speak to a library staff member. Participants of online programs and events are asked to not take screenshots and/or record programs.
