Daniel Kalla's High Society is this years Richmond Read! Daniel Kalla is a Vancouver emergency room physician and the author of fifteen novels. High Society is his brand new thriller in which Holly, a psychiatrist, must investigate why some of her patients are relapsing and dying. The library has plenty of print and digital copies of the book available to borrow. Read on for more ways to join in -

• Daniel Kalla will speak about his writing and new book on July 3, 7:00pm - 8:00pm at Brighouse Library! Book sale and signing to follow. Register early as this event will be popular!

• Attend one or all three of our Daniel Kalla book clubs. Librarians at Cambie, Ironwood and Steveston branch will each lead book discussions on a different Daniel Kalla title.
  • The Far Side of the Sky on Thursday, July 4 from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Ironwood Library
  • High Society on Wednesday, August 7 from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Cambie Library
  • Lost Immunity on Monday, August 19 from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Steveston Library

• Take part in RPL's Richmond Reads Summer Challenge happening June 19 - August 28! Pick up a Summer Challenge at any branch of Richmond Public Library. Finish 3 or more mini-challenges for a chance to win a Kobo Clara Colour eReader valued at $180.00 or a BC Book Package and chocolates generously donated by Library Bound (approximate value $150). Must be 18+ to enter. This contest closes at 9pm PDT on August 28.
