Gateway Theatre Presents: Behind the Scenes of Otosan!

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Brighouse

Description

Have you ever wondered what it takes to put on a puppet show? Would you like the chance to win tickets to see the show? Join us for this family-friendly event! Don't miss this opportunity for an exclusive sneak peek at Otosan, a Little Onion Puppet Co. production. With Gateway Theatre’s Community Engagement Producer Yanting Qiu, you will learn about: the story between the father and daughter, the wildlife in the North, the puppet manipulating … and more.

Inspired by Co-creator Shizuka Kai’s real-life experience with her father, a wildlife videographer, Otosan is a beautifully told story that uses puppetry, real wildlife projections and an original score to take the audience on an immersive journey. Otosan is suitable for audience age 4+, with no language barrier. It was SOLD OUT during the 2024 Vancouver International Children’s Festival.

Ideal for all ages. Registration required. Please register the total number of people who will be attending with you. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

All program participants will be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets for Otosan at Gateway Theatre, runs February 17 – 22, 2025.

Presented in partnership with Gateway Theatre.

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library.
