Join us as Indigenous Red River Métis herbalist LoriAnn Bird will be sharing her first book Revered Roots which contains purposeful and powerful reference to lessons, nourishment, healing and history of our 'plant teachers'. She will be offering a 15 minute in class presentation and then taking the group on a guided 45 minute outdoor plant walk through Minoru Park.
Please note that this presentation is intended for children in grades 4-6.
LoriAnn Bird is an Indigenous Red River Métis herbalist and educator with a deep knowledge of wild, medicinal and edible plants that grow in everyday spaces. Through LoriAnn’s eyes, our immediate surroundings take on a new life and offer a wealth of untapped nutritional and ecological resources.
