Cambie Evening Book Club: Crying in H Mart

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Cambie

Description

Do you love to read and talk about books? Join a small group of other readers for this one-hour, in-person conversation facilitated by a librarian at Cambie Library.

In October, we will be reading Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner, a memoir based on a New Yorker essay by the author. She writes about growing up as an Asian American in Oregon, the grief of losing her mother, and forging her own identity in the wake of her loss. Zauner ties it all together with her passion for food, reclaiming taste, language, and the history her mother had given her.

Once signed up, visit the Cambie Branch to pick up a book club set copy. For e-book availability, please check the free Libby App.

This program is suitable for adults. It will be held in person, at the Cambie Branch.

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library.
