This program helps struggling readers in grades 1-3 (ages 6 to 8) by providing a positive, non-judgmental environment to encourage good reading habits. One on one with a teen volunteer, children have the opportunity to read to a registered therapy dog.

Each child will have 10 minutes within the hour each week to read to a registered therapy dog from partner organization Pets and Friends.

The program runs for 4 weeks, on Thursdays from November 6 to 27.  Participants must attend all 4 sessions.

Photo Procedure: Library staff may take photos and videos to be used for promotional purposes by the library. If you would prefer not to have your picture taken, please speak to a library staff member. Participants of online programs and events are asked to not take screenshots and/or record programs.
