Join us at a book club for, created by, and run by teens! Everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts and make connections in an inclusive community for all.
This month, we’ll be discussing Ready Player One (book 1) by Earnest Cline. In this fast-paced sci-fi novel, everyone tries to escape their real life by spending most of their time in a virtual reality called the OASIS. When the designer of the virtual reality dies, he leaves behind 3 hidden Easter Eggs and whoever finds it first will inherit his fortune. Main character Wade Watts, dives into this treasure hunt through epic puzzles and '80s pop culture in this non-stop adventure. Please make sure you've read the book (or at least a few chapters) before attending.
During the program, we’ll have:
- Discussion about the book in a friendly, low-pressure environment
- Game and activities like trivia games
- Snacks!
