Richmond Public Library's Film Club invites you to join us for a screening of the new screwball comedy movie Anaconda! Please note: popcorn will be served with the movie! This Film Club is for ages 18 and up.
About the Film
Anaconda is a reboot of the classic giant-snake adventure franchise originally launched by Anaconda. The story follows a group of friends who travel into the Amazon rainforest to remake a low-budget horror movie they loved as kids. What begins as a nostalgic filmmaking trip quickly turns into a survival nightmare when they discover a massive, deadly anaconda lurking in the jungle. As the snake begins hunting them one by one, the group must use whatever skills and equipment they have to stay alive. The film mixes action, dark comedy, and creature-feature thrills while poking fun at both survival movies and low-budget filmmaking. Ultimately, the friends must work together to outsmart the giant predator and escape the rainforest before it becomes their grave.
