I love reading these books set in the 80's. They are not only nostalgic in the differences that the times had, with things like payphones, thomas bros maps, and library reference searching, but for me growing up in Ventura county, also…

Tough girl Kinsey Millhone is one of the original female PIs. An updated version of the classic noir detective, she is smart mouthed and a feminist. The books are set in Santa Barbara, California, and have a strong sense of place. They…

I have just finished the first 24 books in the Kinsey Millhone series. These are excellent murder/mystery books. I love her style of writing. Looking forward to reading the last of the series.

BOTTOM-LINE: Nice ending, but the story feels like retread . PLOT OR PREMISE: Kinsey's client thinks he remembers seeing two men digging a hole back when he was six years old, just days after a child's kidnapping that subsequently…

I have always liked Sue Grafton's books particularly the Kinsey Millhone series. I was real sorry to see that Sue Grafton died at age 77 from cancer before she was able to complete the final book in this series. Recently, I finally got…

This easy page turner is a delight. Ms G's voice and pace have not deteriorated at all as she makes her way through the alphabet.

Another good one from Grafton. This one is interesting because it weaves in and out of various decades to finally reach the end.

EXCELLENT book: As always, Sue Grafton keeps the reader on the edge, until the final words of the book to solve the mystery

I haven't read a Sue Grafton in a long time, and needed an escape so picked up U. I was surprised by how readable and competent this book was, and how enjoyable to drift along through an interesting, suspenseful story.

Loved this book! The format keeps it interesting and fresh. I was so into this one that I actually made PB and pickle sandwiches for myself - and they taste great too!

Very disappointing. Hated the time switching. Also hated know who the killers were before the climax. Plus Kinsey does not mix it up like she used to, she is very passive. Did not enjoy the book like some of the others. Jackie

I found that switching back and forth between the 60s and 80s confused rather than improved this story.

One of Grafton's very best, especially the atypical ending.
