It's witty but it's also a little mean-spirited. I would even go as far as to say it shames those with less-than-perfect bodies. This book was written some time ago and I am not certain some of the advice is good for one according to…

This was an interesting, witty and also great informative book about not only the reality of our meat world but getting real about eating healthy! Grabs your attention with their sense of humor!

This book has some helpful little tidbits and truly good suggestions. I appreciated the laundry lists of organic foods to choose from (even as I wondered if they got paid for mentioning specific brands), and the idea of eating fruit…

I am sure the tone of this book was meant to be hip, cheeky and breezy. It came across to me as snide and mean-girl nasty, with so many brand-name mentions that I wonder how much they charged for the advertising. Give this one a pass.

I too, understand the point of trying to be sassy and a straight shooter. But this is just rude and stupid. I would read Alicia Silverstone's book instead.

From my personal point of view this is not your best resource about learning the ins-and-outs of becoming a vegan. I understand these former models attempting to stray from the norm by being blunt and sassy about Veganism but instead of…

Straight-forward advice as to why a vegan diet is best....for the animals, for the planet, for your health. If you can't handle the occasional crude language that gets their point across, then this book may not be for you. I didn't like…

This book is written by 2 vegans who swear alot to try to be cute. Their credentials (holistic nutrition) are poor and although about 75% of what they say is right, 25% is stuff they just seem to have made up to make their own biased…

I found this book to be excessively vulgar. There was some interesting information but some that was definitely questionable. I would definitely steer clear of this and try to find something more professional. I really felt that the…

Language is on the offensive side. Better books out there.

Not sure why people are suggesting this book promotes anorexia. I don't recall any point in the book where it tells you to stop eating or to eat nothing. Rather, it is an insightful look into where our food comes from and what exactly is…

I definitely view food differently now. I think this shift in perception has changed me for the good. I eat a lot better now than I ever did.

The sad part is, there is some interesting information about nutrition and the conflicts of interest of the US food industry. Too bad it's buried in such a shiteous book. It doesn't really promote a healthy lifestyle; it promotes a more…

Love it! Makes me rethink my food choices, becoming vegetarian, and choosing healthier sugars.

Beware - reading this book will make you want to become a vegan!

Some of it's information is correct but overall just a book made for over active PETA loving anorexics. You can find all the information in much more positive forms from Peter Singer & Jim Mason or reading Vegan books.

Why oh why must I always be seduced by books with "Skinny" in the title? Sadly, a more appropriate title would have been "Skinny Vegans: Why Animal Products Are BAD BAD BAD!".... but that probably wouldn't sell as well. Great if you're…

Some crude language, but fantastic information on how to take charge of your life, through your diet choices. Presented in a concise manner.

I found this book offensive. Yes it says no-nonsense, tough-love, but there is no need for the foul language (including frequent use of the F Word) to get their point across. There are many other diet books out there that have better…
