Can't get enough of her writing. I was very sorry to hear of her death before completing the series. RIP I enjoyed reading this book as I have all of her others. Great storytelling

As usual, Sue Grafton is the absolute best. Her books are always funny, well-crafted and just a damned good read! I loved the homeless characters in this book.

I have read every one of Grafton’s Alphabet books. This one did not measure up. This Kinsey fails to exhibit the common sense that makes her such a credible character. The initial conflict premise is improbable if not downright absurd. The…

BOTTOM-LINE: Great plot twist, too long a story for what's there. . PLOT OR PREMISE: Two deaths get Kinsey off and running - the apparent mugging death of a low-rent private investigator known for cutting corners and a John Doe…

Kinsey Milhone is a strong and independent woman working as a private detective in Santa Theresa CA in the 1980s. In the lastest ‘alphabet’ book, “W is for Wasted,” Sue Grafton has written another gripping mystery with homelessness as a…

Reading this currently. Why would someone pencil mark the book? Good read as always.

Sue Taylor Grafton (April 24, 1940 – December 28, 2017) The 38/39 year old P.I. (same age as she was in "V") followed her curiosity and instincts to a string of violent events that were connected to the death of a homeless man and a…

An easy read, different than the rest with a good twist. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I've read every one of the KM books, and love them. This one . . . . good, but not quite such an easy read as most of them. Still worth taking it out, though.

A patron review from the Adult Summer Reading Game: "Another book in the Sue Grafton mysteries. I find the books are well-written with a surprise ending. If you like mysteries, you'll like this book."

Sue Grafton's "W is for Wasted" is a reliably good read; it's on a par with all of her other alphabet-inspired books in this series. Protagonist Kinsey Millhone manages to put herself in the center of a complex circumstance and to come up…

If you are a fan of the series you will like the read. I like that Grafton has stayed true to the character of Kinsey and hasn't tried to sanitize or change her.

I have read every one of Sue Grafton's "alphabet" series, and enjoyed every single one. This is no exception. WASTED is different from many of her previous books, and since I have lived in two different cities with a lot of homeless…

I thought the book was wayyyy to long. Things didn't make sense until about 100 pages from the end. I was excited about the book coming out, since I've enjoyed the other letter books. I stayed with the book only to see how it came…

Another winner from Sue Grafton. When I was young, I wanted to be Nancy Drew, now I want to have a drink with Sue Grafton or Kinsey Millhone.

Is Sue Grafton paid by the word? At least half of this book is unnecessary filler.

I have read all the way to W. I would recommend the book if you are reading the alphabet, but if not, don't bother really. It was real wordy and just too much blah. After half the book, you knew who did it and most of why, but it got some…

Since I always eagerly wait for the next Kinsey Millhone adventure, this one certainly satisfied. It was longer and more nuanced than some so it wasn?t over in a day or two for one thing! I?d call this tale of homeless people, lost…

Kinsey's among my favorite ongoing detectives, and I too don't look forward to the end of "Z is for . . . " Here she gets sucked into compassion for the homeless through contact with individuals who sometimes revolt her, often against her…

I’ve been reading Grafton’s books since I was a teenager and I will never tire of them. Kinsey is one of my all-time favourite characters and I always look forward to reading about her exploits. Not sure what I’m going to do once “Z is…

Great book, well thought-out story line. W is for Wasted touches on two social topics, that of the homeless and the greed and ego involved in unscrupulous medical testing. In some instances, I found the detailed descriptions to be a bit…
