It is what it is. I probably wouldn't read this, but I love the TV series...and I am compelled to know more about the Sookie-Eric saga.

Not sure why I still read this series. Habit? I guess a guilty pleasure. It's a quick read. Stilted writing style abit annoying, but Harris thinks up interesting crises for her heroine.

I feel like it wasn't really a book so much as aftermath. And book 10 promises to be MORE aftermath. I'm like, come on, just write a tome the length of a Harry Potter novel and let's be done with it already. But maybe I'm being…

Agree with other people, not one of her best. Let's hope book 10 is better.

We finally lern about Sookie in this book! true to Sookie's form, there is a lot of Eric vs bill going on as well. The magical world is becoming more well-rounded too.

As usual for Charlaine Harris a good read. I did feel that this was a "filler" book, by filler book I mean when the author is writing to meet contract obligations and needs to stretch out the story line.

I love the Sookie Stackhouse series but this book was a little all over the place and things that had been mentioned in perious books were either forgotten in this book or given wrong names...it just felt rushed. I hope the next book is…

I love Sookie Stackhouse!! Having said that (and having read all the books in the series, this being the latest installment), this wasn't the best of the bunch. Not bad really but (every once in awhile Harris does this) the first third of…

While still worth reading for any Stackhouse fan, this book falls towards the current trend for any upper book in a series to spend half the novel rehashing previous events any fan will already be familiar with. This one also suffers from…

Thoroughly enjoyable! Sookie's relationship with Eric is deepened, and there are some unexpected deaths of some characters. Looking forward to the next installment 'Death in the Family'.

Has its moments, and a must-read for series fans. Seems as if Harris is tying up loose ands.

Sookie reunites with Eric but maintains her complex connections with most of the residents of Bon Temps and beyond. This time Niall and the good fairies battle evil. Of course Sookie is in the middle in a muddle but it all works out.…

Sookie is back! Unfortunately, someone has just crucified her sister-in-law. Was it because Crystal was a were-panther, or did someone have a more personal ax to grind? To complicate matters, Sookie's fae ancestry is causing some…
