This is a great sequel.

Marcus is left to worry about Cithrin, who heads off to try and get her bank back.

Geder becomes an even bigger part of the politics of the Severed Thone.

Cithrin still annoys me though she is better than she was in the first book but Geder is more than making up for it. Why I like a series where I can't stand 2 of the main characters I don't know, but the author manages to keep me interested.

Sequel to the Dragon's Path. Still very well written, lots of fantasy intrigue, interesting characters, and some neat twists. Some previous 'hero' characters are now less so. Certainly this is a wonderful fantasy series for anybody looking to get into a newer author. Easy to read. Could have used a bit more action but a lot of that I think is coming in the future 3rd book.

I love this series. Abraham is perhaps my favorite Fantasy writer at this point. I really enjoyed The Dragon's Path, but it wasn't until I started this novel that I truly realized how much I had enjoyed it. Immediately back into the fold of the story after having been away from it, I found that I had missed the story, the characters and the world more than I realized. The ease at which the author crafts scenes of dialogue and action, as well as fleshes out a truly unique setting, amazes me. The character arcs are all interesting, and I can't wait for the next book.
