Dylan is delightful. He is an exuberant, positive-thinking, idea-rich boy who only wants others to see how great both his town of Manod and the slate mountain behind it are. Unfortunately, business is not very good for his parents garage. Minnie, his little sister, has a brilliant scheme to solve all their money problems. Dylan is doubtful but eventually goes along, and wouldn't you know it - everything turns out all right. Fast-paced writing with humour that anyone can enjoy. Good read for boys or girls. Another plot where children are given full-rein to do what they do best - take initiative.

Nine-year-old Dylan lives in Manod, a small town in Wales. His father's garage is having troubles, as more and more families leave town for bigger and better opportunities. When flooding in London results in paintings from the National Gallery being stored in Manod, Dylan and his sisters try to save the family business--even if it means entering into a life of crime. In the process, a town discovers art, and one crusty curator learns to see the not-so-hidden beauty all around.
