A quick, fast-paced story that takes place in Chicago, in 1871, during one of the worst fires in US History. Oscar has to survive a horrific night trying to make his way back to his mother through a burning city. He has to keep not only himself alive, but also a young girl and her brother who are all alone. Will they survive?

This series includes a lot of historical detail and actually has a section at the back that shares the real history and more background information. I think it's a fun way to learn about some really wild moments in our nation's history!
