An intense story that weaves Catherine's past with her abusive boyfriend with her present, in which she struggles to overcome the psychological effects of the abuse. The beginning of the book is a little hard to get through, as the story jumps from past to present, but you quickly get used to the jumps as the story narrows to a captivating conclusion.

This book is fantastic. It took me a few chapters to get into the time lines since it jumps from past to presence but once I got a feel for it, I couldn't put it down! I have recommended this book to so many of my friends.

This book has some very choppy writing and is hard to get used to at the beginning. Once you get past the author's jumping back and forth, the plot actually has a chance to come out for air and it's actually quite good

One of the best thrillers I’ve read in years! With excellent plot development, it grips you from beginning to end! The characters are very believable and the plot felt plausible. While very gripping and intense, as it deals with difficult issues of domestic violence and obsessive love, the author leaves you wanting to hurry to finish. The debut novel from Elizabeth Haynes, I cannot wait to read her other thrillers.

Fantastic read. Took me a while to get into it but after a while I could not put it down. I finished it within a few days and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thriller about a women suffering with OCD, tormented by her boyfriend. The novel reads through present an past events alternating between them; divulging how the past events led to her present day situation. I found the novel to be rather tedious, describing the episodes of OCD - and there are alot of them - over and over again, as though we couldn't tell how grave it was to her. Not enough reasoning as to why the perpetrator was doing this to her.

Excellent psycho thriller with a detailed look into OCD. Found it very hard to put down once I got the rhythm of the book. The book flips between pre-boyfriend and post-boyfriend.

It's a story that doesn't really move off of an event. I tried to read through the graphic descriptions of sex and violence (difficult for me), assuming that such descriptions were pertinent to the story, but in the end, I believe the reader could conclude the same information without having to read such distasteful descriptions. I found it rather crude, quite honestly. I wouldn't recommend it. On the positive, I liked the author's writing format.

I couldn't put this down. Well written, unpredictable, interesting, heart-breaking, yet inspiring.
