There's nothing like the holidays. They bring out the best, and sometimes the worst, in everyone. Luckily, Neil Pasricha is here to remind us that not only are the holidays great but there's actually even more to celebrate than we realize. From Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa to such holidays as Mother's Day and Father's Day, Thanksgiving, and beyond, The Book of (Holiday) Awesome will show you why holidays are . . . AWESOME! Plugging in the Christmas lights from last year and having them all work. When the in-laws leave. Successfully regifting a present to someone who actually wants it. Drinking with Grandma. Just barely wrapping a gift with that tiny scrap of leftover wrapping paper. Knowing Kwanzaa is worth more Scrabble points than Hanukkah or Christmas.

Really good book . Not as amazing as the 1st book but good. Had me chuckling and the author made good points. Though some I can't relate to.

I was charmed by Pasricha’s first book, "The Book of Awesome" and I grabbed this one as soon as I saw it. While the author makes good points, and brought several smiles to my face, this wasn’t nearly as entertaining as the first book. It tries too hard to reach the same level of whimsy and the rhyming left me cold.

Okay, so if you've read the other two Books of Awesome and, especially, if you follow Neil's blog (, you've already read "The Book of (Holiday) Awesome." But this small volume does shed positive light on holiday stress and brings together awesome tidbits from Christmas, Easter, Hallowe'en and more. After all, who doesn't love drinking with grandma, getting rock star parking Christmas Eve and executing the perfect re-gift?
