Po: This is nothing like that plan.
Tigress: How?
Po: Because this one is gonna work.
Lord Shen: Everything must be exactly as I envisioned it. And I envisioned it a little to the left.
Po: I just found out that I was adopted. I just learned that my dad isn't really my dad!
Tigeress: Your dad...the goose.
Po: Yep.
Tigeress: That must have been a shock for you.

Great movie and it's nice to see that they kept the feel of the original. This is what makes sequels work!
One of the best things about this movie is that they did NOT revert to a sort of status quo from the first movie. In other words, they didn't just try to repeat what worked the first time. They allowed the character to retain the growth he'd achieved from the first film. Kid's movies aren't always brave enough to do that in sequels, but this one did.
This was a good second movie, it ties in well with the 3rd one. Recommended
Life is interesting because of what you do, but also how you come to do it. Po, our protagonist with the most adorable personality, is set upon a path that he never could have imagined for himself. Training with the best martial arts warriors, he must overcome his inner and outer demons. I think this movie is iconic because it showcases that each one of us is a little more than we think. And I recommend it for children and adults alike, who may need a little motivation in their lives day to day.

This is by far the best in this trilogy, packing in tons of fun action, and adding in more depth in the narrative. Kung Fu Panda 2 has a lot of qualities that makes it a wonderful film. It keeps all what made the first film great, and builds on it. For instance, we see more of Poe's dad, seeing him deal with his son leaving him to go fight for Kung Fu, and how it makes him really sad. Plus the villian in this movie, Lord Chen, has a lot more deatailed character ark in this movie. He is kinda like the Thanos of Kung Fu Panda, being the natural evil villain, but doing it for a purpose. While Thanos is trying to create balance in the universe by wiping out half of all life to make peace, Lord Chen is trying to take over China and kill Kung Fu because he wants to please his deceased parents, the same parents who banished him for Panda genocide. But even with all this lovely goodness of story writting, there are a few not so good parts. For instance, the fight scenes are not as spectacular in this film, and Shifu only has a few scenes, taking up more of a wise old master then a kick-butt warrior. But with these set back, Kung Fu Panda 2 still has a load of fun, heart, and crazy Jack Black Combat! HI-YA!!!! 4.7/5

One of the best animated movies of the 21st century!
I absolute love it!!! Perfect for the whole family!!!!!!! It is total awesome!!!!!
What? Po's father is not really a goose, but a Panda? Slap stick humor, brave friends and an evil peacock complete the rest of the story.
Beautiful opening and closing graphics.
Jack Black is hilarious as "Po". Entertaining till the end. The animation was fantastic.
