Decades upon decades after its release, this hard rock classic remains totally worth listening to. The power and the strength behind the songs is superb. It's simply great.

Hello, darlings - When it comes to Led Zeppelin - I'd say that this album was definitely one of their best of all.

Definitely Led Zeppelin at their very peak of heavy-metal perfection. No complaints here.

A near perfect album and a great introduction to this seminal band. (Favs: Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker/Living Loving Maid, Moby Dick)

Unique style drew from a wide variety of styles, including folk, Led Zeppelin's sound is marked by speed and power, unusual rhythmic patterns, contrasting terraced dynamics, Robert Plant's wailing vocals, and Jimmy Page's heavily distorted guitars. No need to mention Bonham and Jones’ extra ordinary performances.

Lyrics excerpt - "Way down inside, honey, you need it... I'm gonna give you my love... I'm gonna give you every inch of my love....."

There can be no denying that with the release of this 2nd album in 1969, Led Zeppelin had definitely hit the ultimate "rock-n-roll' jackpot.

In record time, #2 reached gold status in sales and promptly knocked The Beatles' Abbey Road album from its lofty #1 position on the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

Showcasing the band's ever-evolving musical style, Led Zeppelin II contains elements of blues and folk fused with some of the finest examples of heavy metal that you're ever gonna hear.

It's no wonder that (45 years later) critics still unanimously agree that this impressive 2nd album from Led Zeppelin was one of the most influential rock lps of its era. Its hard-driving edge has been an inspiration to a host of other bands, such as - Whitesnake, Aerosmith, and Iron Maiden.

This CD contains all nine original tracks. Three of my all-time favorites are - Heartbreaker, Ramble On, and, of course, Whole Lotta Love.

"You need coolin', baby, I'm ain't foolin'.... I'm gonna send you back to schoolin'...."
