All Things Sweet --- by --- Rachel Allen.
Allen is a British Cookbook author and a television chef. As for the title of her book, well, no nothing is ever sweet enough but I don’t really need recipes ice cream even if it is coconut and lime. But for sure I hope to get around to trying such goodies as strawberry rhubarb cobbler. There are plum recipes: roasted plums with white chocolate sauce; there are date recipes galore; there’s even a recipe for baklava. For this side of the ocean some of these recipes are either novel or just plain offbeat.
Because Allen is British and because he cookbook is too, you might find http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/chefs/rachel_allen helpful in translating some of the terms she uses.
Happy baking, happy feasting.
