This "Dr. Seuss" book of cartoon illustrations and free-flowing rhyme is a perennial favorite among eager, young readers the world over.

Suess books are hit and miss with us, but we do enjoy this nonsense book. I can read it to my toddlers and they're amused with the language. Thankfully it's not as bad as Fox in Sox, so I CAN actually read it with some sensibility. The pages don't all link up, so it's not a story at all. Just a bunch of rhymes on pages. I can see an older child who knows how to read having fun practicing with this book as well.

It's a bit of fun. Fun drawings. Mad tangents. Many pages stand alone. Recommended.

Rhyming stories about fish and unusual animals such as the Nook, Wimp, and Zeds.

My two year old loves this book - which is essentially a collection of slightly related poems.
Some of the rhymes are excellent, but a few are a bit odd. I like it, but I prefer Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham (the other two Seuss books in our bedtime rotation).

Classic, this reminds me of why I fell in love with Seuss in the first place. I have never met a person who does not join me in the word play of this book!
