After her abusive husband is murdered, Sarah Allen take her daughter and goes back to the town where she grew up. Little does she know that the cottage she is renting belongs to Jackson Raines, who she snubbed as a teenager and hurt. Sarah is tormented by people looking for something that her husband had, but she doesn't know where or what it is. Jackson's feelings for Sarah are strong and the sparks are flying between them. Jackson will do anything he can to keep Sarah and her daughter safe. A very good book from beginning to end.

And now we have the 1st Raines brother. I'm interested to see how the rest of the brothers make out, but Jackson is simply amazing. There's something about cowboys that is just attractive. Martin writes so well and knows how to effectively capture emotions on paper. Start here for the whole series and you won't be sorry! Definitely a reread :)
