As a writer of story books for children as young as 4 and up to 7, Julia Donaldson has charmed us all with her playful, rhyming style. This is MY favorite so far because it will truly capture the attention of older readers with the details that are subtle. As usual, illustrator Axel Scheffler fills the pages with detailed, somewhat funny pictures in bright, bold colors. They make a very good team, especially for this book. ( You'd have to read/see it to appreciate.)

This book has been well read and loved at home, many times over.
Something about Charlie Cook visiting all his favourite characters from a variety of others stories, some being a bit ghoulish made the read fascinating.

A favourite at home from a loved author!
