"Like a breath of fresh air blowing across all crime-novel conventions, there is Dexter." --Time

Dexter Morgan is not your average serial killer. He enjoys his day job as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department . . . but he lives for his nighttime hobby of hunting other killers. Dexter is therefore not pleased to discover that someone is shadowing him, observing him, and copying his methods. Dexter is not one to tolerate displeasure . . . in fact, he has a knack for extricating himself from trouble in his own pleasurable way.

Like the previous five best-selling novels in the Dexter series, Double Dexter showcases the witty, macabre originality that has propelled Jeff Lindsay to international success. Double Dexter is raucously entertaining . . . full of smart suspense and dark laughs.

excellent book really got you hooked

I so had to laugh at Dexter's non-relationship with Camilla Figg... what happens to Camilla is not funny, but she's hovered around each of the novels and blushed at Dexter's every appearance. I can't believe it took this many books for someone to explain to Dexter that Camilla had a crush on him. As Debra puts it "everybody knows"... just not Dexter.

This book dragged a bit more than others in the series, but I love Dexter's sense of family as it grows, and his confusion as more "human" emotions become part of his lexicon.

Never a dull read by Jeff Lindsay, may he never stop writing about Dexter!

The latest in the Dexter series. Dexter is a facinating character and what goes on inside his head makes these novels different than pretty much anything else I've ever read. Seems odd to say about a book that has a serial killer as the main character but I really enjoy these books and often find myself feeling sorry for Dexter as he tries to make his way in the world he doesn't always understand. Another great addition to the Dexter books. Definately worth reading.

So far the best book in the series!

Exploring all the faults of being an unemotional rational being, Lindsay shows off another interesting tale of Dexter. Hopefully this will not be the last.

"Can the books top the spectacularly good TV show? This latest entry shows just how good a writer Jeff Lindsay is."

"And as I finally drifted off into sleep, I vowed to myself that if I lived through the night, I would never go camping again without a flamethrower, a bag of dynamite, and some holy water. Ah, wilderness."

-Dexter is hilarious!

"It was getting very--Oh, I hope it didn't get all dried out, because--Anyway, it's in a Tupperware, and--I'll just microwave the here, take the baby." She jumped off the couch and held Lily Anne toward me, and I stepped in quickly and grabbed my baby, just in case I had not heard Rita correctly and she really did mean to microwave the child.
