Kristin Newman spent her twenties and thirties dealing with her high-pressure job as a television comedy writer, and the anxieties of watching most of her friends get married and start families while she wrestled with her fear of both. She started traveling the world, often alone, falling madly in love with locals who provided the love she wanted without losing her freedom. Ultimately, Kristin's trips led her to understand what she was running away from and why it sent her packing.

I loved this! I listened to the audiobook which was a great choice as it was narrated by the author. She put in every inflection and feeling because she wrote it, and knew how to express it. I found this book inspiring as a solo traveler, and even more importantly as a single female traveler. I simply really enjoyed it!
