An interesting book, he's had quite a life. He is honest about his mistakes and shares a lot about his life.

Great read. A fascinating life and a fascinating man. He comes off as down to earth, thoughtful and intelligent.

I thought this was a great read. I have watched quit a few of Burt's movies. While reading the book I could relate to the movie. Read about Burt's one true love. It is great to hear how he is still acquainted with some of his childhood friends. If you like Burt, then you will enjoy the book.

This is more a string of anecdotes than a proper autobiography. Much of what Reynolds writes about is stars he's known and their careers, not his, and he rambles about their movie credits and things they did and said that have nothing to do with him: he wasn't there, didn't hear it, he's just repeating stories and Hollywood lore. Reynolds also lacks insight, to a remarkable degree, about things that have gone wrong in his relationships. And he doesn't seem to care; it's like "she was great but it didn't work out, I don't know why, I still think she's a lovely lady." Excepting Loni Anderson, that vague "dunno, stuff happens" could be the tagline to many of his romantic relationships and platonic friendships. Burt Reynolds comes across in this book as callow and all surface, however appealing his surface might be/have been.
