This is the 2nd book in the series featuring Dr. Anya Crichton. (Malicious Intent was the debut) The author successfully conveys the painstaking process involved in solving sexual assault crimes. Characters deal with the conflict between protecting victim's privacy versus serving the demands for justice. Scientific proof is a very powerful tool, that's dangerous if used incorrectly.
