This is the 2nd book in this series and I really enjoyed it. I like the 2 main characters and the picture of London in the swinging sixties. Look forward to the next one.

This was a very welcome police procedural by a new author, William Shaw. His backdrop is the '60's which lends an interesting look back to how things were in those days and how policing has changed since then. He refers to well known celebrities and politicians at that time. He also includes gender discrimination in his plot, both on the police force and in domestic situations. He is a good writer and events flow smoothly for an enjoyable read.
