The biggest dissappointments are the shoehorn of the Dark Phoenix arc, Wolverine yet again, and killing off another major villain.

Hey! Where is my review BPL? :-(

That X-men movie is in my opinion too narrative and not sufficiently packed with actions.

Not very good. has anyone who directs and produces these Marvel films ever even read the comic books ??? all the movies are bad. Apocalypse in the comics is epic but in the movie hes a a whimp. Not good casting or good use of what should be great X-men characters. Bad except for Weapon X

The new X-Men series is building momentum, but the end of this movie drops the ball. We spend a whole movie building an extremely powerful villain only to get an anti-climactic deus-ex-machina that only people familiar with the comics will understand or see coming.

For me, the ending is very disappointing. There was no explosion like the one you would expect from such a battle between all-powerful mutant and the X-Men. I expected an explosion like the one from Star Wars when the Death Star was destroyed.

Spoiler Alert
Also the destruction was not a group effort, but a single person that ended him.

Anyways, I did not like the movie.

I agree with the other comments posted here outlining how horrible this movie is. The costumes look plastic, the characters are inaccurate and the storyline is brutal. I don't understand why these directors keep insisting on developing a "new" story - their are incredibly popular storylines within the graphic novels that are just begging to be turned into movies. Instead they come up with junk like this.

Doesn't anyone else remember the Marauders' mutant massacre?? Why did the movies skip over what was the best Marvel event of the 80s? Just cut the Avengers out of the story (because they are owned by a different film company) and focus on the mutants! (JMO)

Jenny Lawrence is the only one able to pull off her lines in this thing (with all due respect to Michael Fassbender). If you really want to see the different interpretations of the characters, watch the movie, but don't be afraid to hit the fast-forward button when you need to.

Superhero blockbusters are the lifeblood of Hollywood. A feeling I could not shake while watching X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is that I was watching people sweat for a paycheck. The performances of the stars -- Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac -- are all quite good, but the script is so poor, so threadbare, you can't help but bear witness to the actors toiling in the muck and the mire. There are also too many scenes where the lighting is so low it's almost black in order to skimp on set design, costumes and special effects.

Not for X-men comic fans. Psylocke used to be British, until magically Japanese in Unc X 258. The movie uses characters and their powers poorly. If you are like me you will likely spend more time hating it for doing things wrong, than enjoying any part of it.

Decent effects if you haven't read any comics and just want a silly action extravaganza.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: A mindscape scene with Professor X and Apocalypse and Magneto loosing it in the middle of the film.
