Felix Francis does a great job carrying on the tradition of his father's books with horse racing at the center! This book takes place in the US, and it is interesting to hear the perspective of the UK visitor about the US violence, use of guns, etc. The title refers to the fact that the British visitor is here in the US during the triple crown races. It is a fascinating plot and the main character is smart and admirable.

This latest Francis book is definitely up to the standards of the Francis family business. Jeff Hinckley has been asked to work in the U.S. for the fictional Federal Anti-Corruption in Sports Agency (FACSA) to find a mole who has been alerting race track owners of upcoming raids. In the process, he discovers that someone is fixing the three Triple Crown races. As usual Felix has done some research. We learn about the unenviable life of race track grooms, diseases of horses, and get tips on how to tail someone. Of course, there is violence and a chase. Altogether an well plotted, entertaining read.
