Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly.

Until, that is, she receives a summons that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?
TIMELESS is the final book of the Parasol Protectorate series: a comedy of manners set in Victorian London, full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.

Oh La! What a delightful series! I was hooked on this world from the Finishing School Series and can't wait to dive into the Custard Protocol.

There was something different about the final book of Parasol Protectorate series. I can feel the effort and dedication Carriger's put into Timeless. And it pays off, it's a fantastic conclusion. All the chapters have a seamless connection to one another, no character is given less focus than it deserves, and no plot has not been given a satisfactory conclusion. It's not an ending by any means (and it's not meant to be), but a milestone in the lives of the Maccons, and their associated friends and family. The series has always been safely in the fluff side, never to be really taken seriously, but Timeless surprised me with some hard-hitting moments. Somehow, without my knowing, I've become really fond of these characters and the fact that this series has ended has affected me more than I'd like to admit.

I can't believe this series is over! I loved it so much. It's such a great, easy light read and I fell IN LOVE with these characters. IN LOVE, head over heels. I only gave it a 4/5 because it's cheeky and I hate the plots but I would still read them for the characters any day of the week.

The Parasol Protectorate series is one of the best I’ve read in a long time, and while I’m sorely disappointed that this is the final book I am very grateful Carriger comes right out and says so on the book cover. Nothing worse than a series that just fizzles out midway without warning. She does a splendid job in wrapping up all the odds and ends of her characters’ lives—I just wish it didn’t have to end so soon.

Entertaining, entirely fluffy.

I was thoroughly satisfied with this final book in the series. Alexia and Conall are as delightful a couple of ever and Prudence is an entertaining addition to their family. All of my favourite supporting characters had plenty of things to do and there were several giggles along the way. Pure brain candy and definitely only for those that have read the previous books in the series, I was perfectly happy with Carriger's conclusion to her irregular steampunk paranormal series.

I lament that the Parasol Protectorate comes to an end, but it is so smashingly accomplished, it’s hard to mourn. The action is a little confusing, among so many transformative beings, but the drama, as usual, is superb.

A wonderful end to a delightfully fun and comedic series. These novels are not fancy literature by any means, but there are some highly witty moments and tons of amusement. Gail Carriger is now writing a series of YA books set in the same universe, as well as a set of books that are an off-shoot of this one (Parasol Protectorate) featuring Alexia's daughter. I will be looking forward to those.
