I dare you to put this book down! I read it in one night, the suspense was so thrilling and Maddie's survival skills were compelling. I loved that she was such a strong female protagonist and that her anger and compassion combined with knowledge and wit helped them survive in intense winter weather conditions under the threat of terrorism. Espionage, romance, unpredictable plots twists -- this book will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Maddie and Logan are such an interesting pair. They grieved the loss of their childhood relationship in different ways, and one fateful day changed each's life forever. The rediscovery of their friendship and what it would become was forged in another kind of trauma. I loved how they worked together.

This book definitely met my high expectations (considering it's an Ally Carter book), I absolutely loved it! Though I was a bit surprised that it all happened in one place (Alaska). Especially since her other books are always all over the place; fictional or no.

A fun, quick read with a resourceful main character.

This was a fun, quick YA romance that was light on the romance and heavier on the action/adventure/suspense. Since this was my first Ally Carter book, I'm itching for more of her whip smart writing and creative story lines. I also spent some of my time in this book listening to the audio production. It was my second time listening to this particular narrator and I found she did a fabulous job with all aspects, including the masculine Russian accents. Much better than my previous experience.

Such a great book! I felt like the middle was a little repetitive, but still very good. There was a little romance. At times, I couldn't stop reading! No doubt about it, AWESOME author!

An action-packed survival story set in the Alaskan wilderness with a little bit of romance thrown in. I found out right away that I could not put this book down and finished in only a couple of sittings. Also, I think that fans of April Henry would really enjoy this book.
