A funny movie, great overt and deadpan comedy, some mayhem, but all’s well that ends well.
Oyelowo displays some great comedic chops as the honest but ill-used Harold, and while the story and characters aren't particularly original, the solid performances of the cast and the chuckles and laughs along the way make this a fun, entertaining ride.
Man, we are Harold or know somebody like this poor guy. Talk about having a few bad days. Therein lies the misadventures. It's not a thrill ride but it's not a snooze-fest, either. It's good with some excellent performances. It could have been tightened up a bit but it is what it is.
Not funny and a stale plot. Miscast of major stars.
Original and hilariously funny! Well acted and directed...sequel?
Charlize Theron was hilarious, devious and incredibly funny in this movie. Dave Oyelowo was a surprise. I think this is his first comedy. He was great in this too. Silly. Funny. I enjoyed it.
A very believable comic journey of a straitlaced Nigerian American gringo who was bullied, chased, shot, deceived, cockolded ... by a bunch of off-kilter characters, all acted out their peculiar roles with a straight face. Had to replay some scenes ... did he/she just say/do/wear that? LOL.
Horrible movie, boring and to long.
I want to say the movie was hilarious, but I never laughed out loud. When someone makes a really good pun, we call it a "groaner" and that is more of what this movie turns out to be.
Clever morality tale that is interesting enough to keep your attention throughout. Tends to make Mexico look corrupt---but they are pikers compared to us. Enjoy!
