Sarah Morgan was recommended to me by the host of the World's Best Book Club.

I've been bingeing on her Manhattan with Love series, and Miracle on 5th Avenue is my third book. After reading about the potential romance between Eva Jordan and Lucas Blade in Sunset in Central Park, I couldn't wait to read this book. I was disappointed.

The author acknowledged that getting into the head of a crime writer was difficult for her, and I wished she had picked a different genre for Lucas. The tension between a girl who believes in sunshine and a guy rooted in the dark side was awkwardly implemented.

Otherwise, it is a great beach book.

I really liked the idea of the plot, reclusive writer meets bubbly event planner, but the chemistry felt a bit flat for me.
