Dr. Finkelstein: That's twice this month you've slipped deadly nightshade into my tea and run off. Sally: Three times!

Comment
Add a CommentI rate The Nighmare before Christmas 5/5, but the DVD itself wouldn’t play although it was new and unscratched.
Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Throw him in a pot
Leave him there for ninety years
Then see if he talks
this movie is one of the top 20 for me to watch. for kids, I will say it was the top 10 for sure this one is a good one for all ages. I do not know why they did not make number 2 but he died. but this movie is about jack (the main character in the movie) want's to do something new to do that is different, so he walks into a new place wich it is a forest with 6 or 5 doors (i don't know how Minnie doors) but he looks at a door that looks at a green Xmas tree (he does not know what it is) I'm not going to tell you all of it. but is a good one I have one to watch it is coco.
I really enjoyed watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. The story line is very creative and unique, and kept me intrigued throughout the film’s entirety. Jack Skellington is a very interesting character, which makes this movie even more engaging to the audience. I liked the mix of Halloween and Christmas, because it was different, and can fit into multiple seasons. This movie has the perfect balance of humour, festivity, spookiness, suspense, action, and emotion, which makes it very entertaining and enjoyable for a variety of people. This film definitely sticks out in my mind, and I would highly recommend it to other viewers! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
I really wanted to enjoy this movie. I'm sorry. I know there must have been a lot of work put into it, but it's disgusting. Not "scary," just gross in a way that made me feel bad. I didn't know who to root for in this movie. The main girl is nice but she poisons her creator, which I know treats her poorly, but what sort of twisted vengeance is this movie trying to show as "good?" The main character, Skellington, is sort of adorable with all his optimism. He's prideful, and in the end his pride catches up with him....but it doesn't make sense. He's tired of Halloween, he wants the joy of Christmas, and when he doesn't get it he gives up and is happy about it. Don't we all want the joy of different holidays? He doesn't truly get that and it doesn't make sense why he's okay with going back to the same old. Everyone else in cruel and terrible to each other. No one, no one, has consequences for their actions. It made me feel awful. Thank God I didn't see this as a child...it would have scarred me. I know I'm sensitive, but I don't think I could recommend this movie for anyone.
While this is one of the most creative films ever made, it is not necessarily my favorite Halloween movie. However, I do enjoy certain aspects of it, such as "This is Halloween, This is Halloween!" and the cute ghost dog, "Zero." I recommend that everyone see it at least once.
In a word; AMAZING. Not many films do double duty as both a Halloween and Christmas film, but "Nightmare" is perfect for both holidays! Tim Burton is pure genius! I can't fathom why anyone would call the songs in this movie "Horrible" unless they haven't bothered to really watch this film. This is a movie that both parents and kids can watch together. No gore or bad language here, but just enough "creepy-ness" and cheer to satisfy everyone!

Is this a Halloween or Christmas movie? Or is it both?
