Well plotted, written, and compelling, I will be purchasing a copy for my bookshelves to savor at my leisure.

It was a lot. Took me 3/4 through the book before I could really grasp all of the characters. Reminded me of a soap opera but it did spur me into reading more about the topic of mother and baby laundries, which is a black stain on our society.

I would like to give this book 5 stars but the library software isn’t allowing me to. This is a heartbreaking, yet compulsive read. A dark story about the abuse of unwed, pregnant girls. Despite the serious subject matter I really enjoyed it.

Emily Gunnis weaves the story precisely, pulling in characters and drawing the reader in so that it was difficult to put down. I didn't see what was coming until the end.

Quite a book! But I admit that I was pretty confused as to who's who while reading it it.
