The very laws of science are called into question when William Foster, a neuroscientist, seeks to bring back his dead family members. A car accident takes everyone he loves from him, but the synthetic biologist decides to put all of his scientific knowledge to the test when his grief overwhelms him. If Foster wants to be successful though, he'll have to take on not only scientific experimentation, but a government task force out to stop him.

A surprisngly good movie. Interesting concept which some might find hard to imagine or accept. Keanu Reeves has steadily become a better and better actor; actually quite good in this. I thought I was going to turn this off after a few minutes but it kept me engrossed from beginning to end. Good directing, acting and storyline.

I LOVE to HATE a Keannu movie...but seriously all the negative reviews have gone a bit nuts...ITS NOT THAT BAD!..I mean REEVES is as cardboard as ever but the sci-fi premise of the story is no more ridiculous then ..let's see..someone going into a computer board??? See I think the Matrix is the most ridiculous and overrated film of it's time.. this film is more akin to I robot and I never once wanted to th turn it off or fast fwd it or laugh out is not a masterpiece and REEVES is no better no worse then he ever is....but it was entertaining and worth the time to watch...

Worth watching once ... and maybe again as a rerun on TV just to watch a more emotional family man Keanu Reeves. I'll admit it - I'm a Keanu Reeves/John Wick fan. The props were plentiful & impressive without excessive CGI. Keanu gets to exercise more emotions as a loving family man and mad scientist. Everyone's acting was good. Is it normal for bosses to kiss employee's spouses on the cheek? Doesn't that cross a personal space barrier? The science behind the story needed more baking to make the movie more believable to keep me engaged - not like a documentary but less like magic/miracles. For example, SPOILER, it doesn't make sense that growing clones of different ages would take the same amount of time. Plus, the probability of achieving two significant scientific achievements, mind transfer AND cloning, at the same time by the same 2 scientists is highly unlikely. The bonus material has an noteworthy deleted scene.

I wanted to like this movie but the things that happen are so ridiculous that it spoiled the movie.

Interesting premise, gets a little long-winded at times, as well as creepy. The ending is... kind of happy? I'm not entirely sure what message the movie was trying to send, because I feel like I get bits and pieces of three or four different ones, all a tad contradictory.

Unbelievable science, but an interesting concept. I enjoyed watching it.

Some of the worst CGI I've seen in a modern day sci-fi movie. Laughably bad.

my 12 year old and I pulled the premise of this movie apart like taffy for 20 minutes after it was over. It was easier to suspend my disbelief with "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" than it was with this movie. Again I love the library and all the $$$ and embarrassment it saves me.

Was a real fun ride of a movie. I saw there were some extreme negative reviews but don't see what the fuss was about. Had some nice action sequences. But I could see how this could feel like a Black Mirror episode or some Netflix film and didn't have that cinematic-grade quality with it. That's why they call them January movies.
