"Eighteen-year-old Trinity Marrow may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her unique gift is part of a secret so dangerous that she's been in hiding for years in an isolated compound fiercely guarded by Wardens-- gargoyle shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they'll devour her, flesh and bone, to enhance their own powers. When Wardens from another clan arrive with disturbing reports that something out there is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity's safe world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she's ever met. Zayne has secrets of his own that will upend her world yet again-- but working together becomes imperative once demons breach the compound and Trinity's secret comes to light. To save her family and maybe the world, she'll have to put her trust in Zayne. But all bets are off as a supernatural war is unleashed ..."-- Dust jacket flap.

Storm and Fury by Jennifer Armentrout is filled with actions and thrilling twists and turns. It is a fantasy novel about Trinity Marrow, a Trueborn with retinitis pigmentosa. She has the ability to see and communicate with spirits and ghosts and can sense demons way before wardens. Being a Trueborn makes her an extremely rare angel — thus starting a supernatural war.

Although the book deals with elements such as loyalty, regret, and love, I wish there were more parts of the book that vividly paints an image of situations instead of just providing background knowledge. Also, the ending was a bit abrupt considering how the first half of the book was just about the setting. However, Trinity’s character is unique: staunch, strong, bold, and decisive. Not only that, Trinity suffers from her own losses, which makes it hard for her to see others sacrificing for her and learns that she has to help others. All of the characters in Storm and Fury is very genuine and developed.

I would recommend this book if you are an avid fantasy reader who likes supernatural elements. It is a heartbreaking, yet, a heartwarming novel.
