I just reread this, and it is one of Koontz best books. He does an amazing job on the characters of children, a disabled girl in this book is especially vivid in detail. I like the storyline, and bioethics is a reality that many do not understand are being lauded in academia, and medical schools. No cripple or person over 60 is deemed of any use to society by bioethics/utilitarian standards. Koontz does a wonderful job of explaining in detail in all his books. He got a lot of letters from the bioethics crowd for his blunt blasting of their philosophy.
