I do not recommend this book. I struggled through the first 100 pages or so, but I read from other readers that the back half is much better than than the first. Not in my opinion. Libby, the main character, has a chip on her shoulder throughout the entire book. She does nothing to better herself and her situation, leeching off of others and stealing her way through existence. Lazy and unmotivated! The story begins with the gruesome murders of her family. Where do you go with that? Maybe the author could have presented a character who tries to change her situation and counteract the violence with something good, but instead, the book just goes farther into darkness and the pitiful life Libby lives. Way too dark and depressing for my tastes!
