Can't say I actually enjoyed it, but a story from Vader's perspective isn't written every day, so it was a refreshing change. I loved stepping into Vader's head a bit and seeing his dynamics between certain characters, particularly the Emperor and Grand General Tagge. When I was first introduced to Dr. Aphra, I really didn't know what to think of her, and at first I didn't exactly like her. However, I don't hate her either, as she does help drive the plot along and is a semi-interesting side character. Plus, the way Vader exerts his authority to keep her in her place, letting her know more than once that she is definitely expendable, is a strong, dominant position for a strong, dominant character like Vader. I have to agree with some of the others that the characters at the end were a little rushed, but I wasn't too bothered by that. Vader's whole characterization regarding the whole thing with them (which I won't spoil) is rather enlightening, and shows his deep connection to the Force even as a Sith Lord. He hasn't lost that since renouncing the name of Skywalker. Also, the ending reveal (which we already know, but up to this point Vader did not), is quite fitting.
So, this all to say that it was a decent comic, not too impressive but interesting enough to possibly make me continue the series.
