This latest Francis book is definitely up to the standards of the Francis family business. Jeff Hinckley has been asked to work in the U.S. for the fictional Federal Anti-Corruption in Sports Agency (FACSA) to find a mole who has been alerting race track owners of upcoming raids. In the process, he discovers that someone is fixing the three Triple Crown races. As usual Felix has done some research. We learn about the unenviable life of race track grooms, diseases of horses, and get tips on how to tail someone. Of course, there is violence and a chase. Altogether an well plotted, entertaining read.
