Animal Farm is a novella by George Orwell. It depicts a farm with animals who overthrow the human farmer and his family after being tired of being used by humans. The animals run the farm themselves, wanting a place where animals can be free and have independence. However, as the story progresses, the animals slowly end up allowing themselves to be ruled once again, ending up in the same scenario as they were in before.
I really enjoyed this story. It is a simple fable that does not need much explanation to get a main overview. But if you look deeper into why the text was written, you can find how the author uses satire to create this story to warn against stalinism, which was prevalent at the time the novella was written. Overall, this book is very well written and definitely worth your time reading.
